He Hunts No More Tough day today, part of a triumvirate that hunted hill and dale in five states had to be laid to rest. From the time he was ten weeks old he would find things in the woods and point it, and was afraid of nothing http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...ps0229ec3e.jpg Pheasant Grouse Chukar Woodcock and Quail were no match and he helped feed my family for twelve years. He showed my Son's what hunting over a great Bird Dog was all about. A winged Pheasant that sailed off a hundred yards and hit the ground running stood no chance whatsoever. Always brought back to my hand. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...ps1eeada9f.jpg Many of my dear friends had the pleasure of great day's afield behind rock steady points. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...ps3aef30af.jpg Today a Great Hunter has passed after sharing many a campfire, and watching out for his family for many years. He made me look good in the fields in spite of myself. His name was Solo http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...ps54e679f4.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...psa4ab40b0.jpg |
