 Attention NE area V fishermen

We're coming into perhaps the best ocean fishing season, so get out there.
Huge bluefish, seabass, porgies, and real soon......Stripers. Last year, my last trip, spray was freezing and sliding down my V21 windshield as slush, with the same on the gunnels.........I was thinking, no matter, it will " warm up." It finally got above 32 degrees that day. Hope to see guys such as " Step Up" out there soon. |

 HUGE bluefish!!!

 Absolutely......HUGE bluefish.
Had one three weeks ago 16lbs 13oz but many have been caught closer to 20lbs and above ! Heard of one 23lb. That's about 40 % more massive than the one I caught. |

My biggest was 22lbs 11oz. State record for the year 2000 (I think it was).
That said, I haven't caught a single bluefish at all this year. Very strange. |

 I haven't caught one either.
But sadly, only went out on the boat once this season. Maybe this sunday... rkc |

I have not caught one either, but I have only been in salt 2 times and that was so close to shore I could spit and hit land. :fight:

my biggest was also 22 plus. we were shark fishing and the dam thing took a mackerel bait and gave me a good fight on a 50 standup rig.
there are 18 plus pounders coming out of the surf. big year for monster bluefish. |

Black fish opens up on Saturday!!!!!

Wow - those are HUGE blues you guys have caught.
The Belmar party boats have been fishing them - north of the Shrews Rocks. You can see the fleet. Some head in other directions too. Some days a slaughter on jigs & bait, other times not. Tip..........might try trolling stretch 25's around the fleets............shsshshshs....... |
