More BS about going fast....
 

Now that my rig runs to 50mph...... it does seem very close to a " stable top speed. "

At that speed it still feels solid, but getting a little loose too.

So, for the couple of you with V's rigged to run 55 - 60 +, how's the handling at that speed ?

Mine feels good at speed. Unless I'm trimmed to the max in a small chop. Then she gets a little loose feeling. But that is when it runs the fastest.

my 4 stroke 140 is really stable as I pass by the gas dock...

Hey my Opti gets 3-3.5 mpg at cruise speeds. And thats 30kts! Not bad for a two stroke.

With the wind at my back, I am lucky to hit 30-35 MPH. But I am happy!!!!

So what ? No one's running over 50 mph ?

I know we have two..........an 1/0 that ran 65 or more.........and maybe Destroyer's boat ?
An outboard CC V that runs 60 mph.

Yup, I'm bored.

My V was rock solid at 75 mph on the way home when I got it.... didn't have a motor yet tho

I am right at the same but around 34kts--last trip out for tuna got 3.6 mpg and that is loaded down---with a two stroke too.
