V20 vs V21
Hello all,
My name is Bo and I'm down in central FL and new to the website. I saw a 96' V21 for sale and was wondering about the differences between it and the V20. I noticed a transom extension in the pics. Any other major changes? Is there less wood in this model and year? My bro-n-law had an old V20 years ago and I really liked the way it rode and responded to the 225 horses hanging on it. Thanks! No less wood, identical below the rubrail other than the transom which you already noticed. The windshield has more of a rake to it and thats about it. I believe the V-21's have poly tanks, so thats a major plus as alot of the older V-20's have gas tank problems.

V20 vs V21
I loved the the V20 I used to have. It was an I/O. With an outboard on my 21 the two biggest differences I see are deck space and the deck drains overboard rather than into the bilge. Both big pluses for the 21. So if you like the 20, I think you'll like the 21 even more.

One more thing. It has a 2004 Yammy 150, 2 stroke on it. Is this enough horses?
Thanks again, Bo |

Typically the 150 pushes to around 40 mph wide open, and cruises very nicely at 20 - 30 mph. No problems with 150 hp. |
I'm guessing your looking at this one? If so she looks like a nice clean specimen of the V20/V21 variety that I have drooled over a few times.
