btw, did you read the comments below about all the racist in the South and that's why one mother wouldn't let her daughter go to USC, instead wanted her to go to a college in the North, I couldn't imagine it had anything to do with her daughter wearing a shirt that said "Go Cocks!" :you:

for whats its worth, I've traveled all over this country and lived in the South most my life. In most of the schools I went to growing up I was a white minority. You'll find racism and bigotry anywhere you look hard enough, its not a geographic anomaly. Some of the most racist people I've ever met were living in Massachusetts. As long as some one is counting race, there's going to be a racist.

AS far as her being gay, i could really care less, but it does piss me off that an otherwise non issue gets a head line because someone is a homosexual. Sorry but she doesn't deserve any special treatment in my book. She's putting herself in the contest. Throw a bathing suit(no flannel please) on her and if shes hot enough, we'll throw dollar bills up on the stage. :sly:

Personally, looking at her pic, she's not all that. Pretty, sure, but Miss America material? Naaaa....

And as for her being black or white, or straight or gay... what the hell does that have to do with her being pretty enough to win the contest? Really? But truthfully, I DO have a problem with anyone trying to gain favor by shouting that they are gay or they are black or whatever.... To me that would disqualify her from my vote in a heartbeat. I judge a person by WHO they are, not WHAT they are.
