Paint paint paint??
 

I really like the interlux perfection product alot, I was gonna paint the boat fighting lady yellow but have decided not to. Ive decided to paint it Ice blue but the only company who makes the color is pettit easypoxy single part urethane, does anybody have any real world experience with Easypoxy? Ive used interlux brightside with good luck but they only have light blue and thats the color of the albemarle.Any ideas? I do not not have a alwgrip budget so im looking for durable and affordable

Use automotive paint, I have it on mine and it's great

Did you use a base and clear or a single stage? did you have to add a flex additive?

i used a rustoleum paint that was a 2 part like awlgrip. i don't remember the numbers. works great, easy to use, i rolled & tipped.

That Ice blue is gonna look sweet.

As reel requested. Here is one of the best hidden secrets in marine paint that im coming to find out more and more. Its a urethatic paint almost like ALWGRIP but has alethatic qualities that pretty much make it surpass ALWGRIPS and other high end MARINE label paints. beautiful thing about it is that they can tint it any color you want and it fully repairable unlike other 2 part paints. and its only about 100 dollars a gallon. sounds pricey to some but when you need 3 quarts of white and your using AWLGRIP AT 70 dollars a quart it starts adding up.http://www.insl-x.com/viewProd.asp?prodID=539 heres another link because benjamin moore just bought this company and it has the label on it.

Another product is by Benjamin moore is the p22 industrial polyurethane enamel. . This Industrial polyurethane enamel is an air dry formula but you can also add and poly enamel hardener to make it kick a little harder. http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/f...heen=P22&tab=3 heres the link to that enamel. And it has more percentage of urethane in it than other overpriced marine paint which makes this a more quality paint.

Kracker...any info on how well P22 does on a Roll & Tip job??...

Would this be a good option for painting the original non skid interior deck ?
Goal there is finish, durability for scrubbing, roll on or brush without needing to spray
and doesn't allow the dirt to get into it, making cleaning a bear.

The rep told me to use the urethatic 2k paint any where I wanted walk ways,high traffic, existing non skids etc. He swore up and down it blows ALWGRIP out of the water. The only concern about existing non skids is being able to get a good prepared surface to recoat with. you can roll,brush and spray the urethatic 2k.
