Well, it's official....

I'm retired. :news: Going to take some getting used to, but I think I'll survive. At least now I'll have some time to actually work on/use my boat instead of just looking at it.

Good for you man, where did you retire from?

I retired from the P.D in 2007 after thirty years. Took about six weeks before I found my next job and been working since.

My good friend is fond of telling me " Your not handling this retirement thing very well at all"

Hope yours is a little more relaxing, congrats:nice:

I'm looking forward to retirement.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure it's a mirage.

Congrats!

LOL Actually this is my second retirement. I retired from the power and light company in 1999...that lasted about a year and then I went back to work for the company I just left, which is a real estate development company... that lasted till last Friday. So I figure that I'll get about a half year of "relaxation" before I get totally bored, my wife kicks me out of the house, threatens me with divorce if I don't go do somenting, and I start looking for something to do again. But in the meantime I'm gonna do some boat work, some fishing, some golf, and maybe just some cruising around enjoying life... (or at least that's the plan).... :head:

One can only wish. Congrats.... Now that you have all this free time you should start your own tea party group and file for tax exempt status. That should keep you busy for a while.
