Gun bill

Well, the gun bill went down in flames, and in no time at all "el presidante" was on the air flapping his jaws, lying and telling anyyone that would listen how bad a thing it was.

It's strange, I thought that he was supposed to represent ALL Americans, not just the ones that agree with him. Guess I was wrong.

And of course, he lied again. Claimed that 90% of Americans suppored the bill, when in fact, the bill had been steadly loosing ground and by the time of the vote the latest polls had shown that only 48% of the Country supported it.

oh well, at least, with Obama, you can always tell when he's lying. His lips are moving.

it's a good day for freedom today. Especially since all of the bills they wanted to pass would not have stopped the horrid mass shootings.

Exactly!! But then again, the bills were never designed to stop shootings like that. They were designed to create a national gun registery (So they would know who had a gun if they ever tried to take them away) and to outlaw certain types of guns from law abiding private citizens. (The object being of course so that if there was ever (God forbid) a rebellion only they would have the mass firepower guns. Oh, and of course the bills were also aimed at bringing in more money to the federal gov. coffers thru new licenses' and fees.

I read that the pole they claimed 90% agreed with, only poled 1700 people, seriously/ how in the hell do they think that even comes close to what the people of this country think. I'm getting sick of all the articles from all the liberals who are butthurt about their infringement on our rights getting shot down.

Gun Control et al

It appears that making and setting off bombs is already illegal....didn't seem to stop those involved. Oklahoma City, Atlanta and now Boston.
A young man went and attacked over 12 individuals with a knife, wounding many in the face, neck and hands...the press makes no mention of what type of knife. It happened on the campus of a University in Texas....wonder if they'll eliminate K-Bar knives or bayonets now?

yep, look at the FBI stats. Rifles, the whole group from bolt actions to semi's, are involved in homicides less than hands and blunt objects. I just like how our president is all hurt over not getting the laws passed and can't take a loss and has to cry like a baby. I believe he said for republicans to shut up and accept his win as president.

I do agree with Our president on one thing. That if it weren't for all of us being vigilant they would have pushed this unconstitutional legislation on us.

" I always believe that ultimately, if people are paying attention, then we get good government and good leadership. And when we get lazy, as a democracy and civically start taking shortcuts, then it results in bad government and politics."

BARACK OBAMA, MSNBC interview, Sep. 25, 2006

Ironic isn't it.

According to FBI stats, the number one weapon (by almost a 2 to 1 margin over the next closest item) involved in murders and assaults is........ a baseball bat. Strange you don't hear anyone calling for assault baseball bats to be banned.
