What to use?

I have not been near the fresh water for 13 years!! Even then I had no idea what I was doing, but now with no boat and getting to the salt getting harder, I have decided to try it again.
They have just started stocking the trout around here and plan to go looking for some. I have a ton of ponds in the new area I just moved to so why not?

this is my freshwater rig. it belonged to my dad & when he passed on, i kept it. it's a 98 15' cajun w a 40 hp merc. i never got into the freshwater stuff( too many stumps & snakes), but i do like drifting down the river fly fishing. i also like the no salt corrosion on the trailer. this is a 98 painted trailer with the original bearings. i don't know much about trout, we catch them in the mountains on canned corn. but hey mj, bad fishing is better than no fishing.

Pond fishing is awsome MJ.

Just to get started, rig up one of your lighter spinning outfits with 6 or 8 pound line and grab a few 1/16 and 1/8 ounce rooster tails. Everything in the pond eats roostertails.

I have nothing fresh water, and 0 money to get anything right now :bat: I might get a Batman rod for cheap??
