Liam's 73 V20 1 Attachment(s) I picked this 73 cuddy up a couple of weeks ago,it has the original inline 6 motor, lots of new parts though, new heat exchanger, new head and rebore a couple of years ago, newish manifold and riser,(got a spare with the purchase). New lower unit. The boat was up and running when I bought it,i have since cut out most of the wiring, cut out the dash and removed the steering. The wiring was showing its age,way too many poor splices, the steering cables felt good but the helm was loose and few of the gauges worked, they where also mounted in what appeared to be a piece of cutting board, lol. I plan to rewire ,glass in a new dash and new gauges, new steering and then run it for the summer. In the fall it will need a new deck and stringers. I hope to pick away at it over the next couple of years and get it ship shape once again. thanks for all the great info on this site,Liam. |

2 Attachment(s) Here are pics of the motor, some of the paint flaked off the heat exchanger when I pressure washed it,is it possible/worth repainting over the copper? and what would be the paint to use,TIA |

Well I must say this is a first for me I have never seen a inline 6cyl that had a heat exchanger on it ..is the motor running antifreeze in it on a closed loop :head: |
