 |  Yup...  Completely agree....been powering chain saws, string trimmers, lawn mowers, garden tractors, and cars with older gas for a long, long time.  I just don't use it in my outboards since there is always the chance that the lower octane might hurt something and out in the ocean that's the last thing you want to do. 
As long as it hasn't turned to shelac (you know it has when you smell that old gas smell) it's safe to burn in most any small engine.  If it has, put it in containers and bring it to your nearest haz mat recycling center.  DO NOT pour in into the ground. |
