Ah ha - Yamaha 0X66 may be the choice
At about 455 lbs, a lot lighter than going with a mid 2000's era Evinrude at 525 lbs.
That, plus hard to find anything written bad about these motors, except for the fuel use, which is moderate. Just another possibility while I consider what my next boating project may be. |
When I was looking at outboards for my V20 I almost pulled the trigger on an OX66 250hp. The only reason I did not buy it was it had a 30" shaft. Your right they are good motors but a little thirsty.
