tranxom rebuild 5 Attachment(s) Not sure If I posted these. Cut out rotten wood, raised the transom from 20" to 25" and hung a new etec, Which is awesome by the way!! |

Real nice, Wolf. I was hesitant to attempt raising my transom and it was still solid, so I just glass-capped it but I wish I had raised it. I guess if your gonna go all out with new power, it only makes sense to do it right and raise it. And from your pictures it doesn't look like it was that bad of a project. Like a brand new boat! |

Transom I am very happy and impressed with the etec. I have put about 80 hrs on it. It runs about 44.5 mph WOT. The great thing is it gets 4 mpg from 25 mph to 37mph. I have made a few 100 mile fishing trip and I average 5 mpg. I have access to many 4 strokes and have run all of them. They just don' have the same response and smooth operation as the 2 strokes. |
