Hatch Rails question

Got my hatch rails removed to re-finish them and after seeing that they look like at one time, had a finish other than teak oil I'm wondering if I should use Teak oil on them or use Helmsman spar finish. They do take alot more moisture than any of the interior teak and I have used oil on that wood.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I hate all the work of wood! Mine were all messed up, and I used them as a template and made new from Starboard, never to look at again!

That idea entered my mind because of the amount of spray the rail take AND it takes 2 people to remove them(removing the 2 most forward nuts from the cabin wasn't fun at all!)
can starboard be painted?

I do not think starboard can be painted. 5200 will hardly stick to it. But MJ is right on. Starboard is the way to go. Wood takes too much work for me. I replaced all the teak on a 250 Sportsman and three months later it looked like crap. I like the idea of screw it on and forget it.
I thought anything other than teak oil will flake off teak because of the oil in it?

That is kind of what I was thinking but wasn't too sure.
I don't mind the wood trim in the boat because it's pretty easy to keep up and I like how it looks.Of course I'm getting older and do like low maintenance alot more these days!

I don't know how paint would hold up?? I did get some spray paint on some once and it seemed to stay, but thats because I didn't want it to!!
I did the whole boat over with starboard and was happy!! Cleans up real easy after a day of bloody fishing!!

sand it down smooth and use cetol, 3-4 coats of stain & 1-2 coats of gloss.
