1987 v20 fisherman, CC.

What position is on and off for my main instrument panel?

I can barely make out what they say, but next to the last switch on the right is the pump and one click down is on and all the way down is auto. So I put all the switches in the up position and now my battery is dead.
pls help

I don't have another battery to test them with, and it was daytime when I did this so I didn't notice if the green and red light on the front of the boat was on. the stern light is gone and the inside lights do not work so yea all I had to go on was the pump and front light.

Also can someone that has a 87 cc post a pic of the orginal switch panel so I know what they are?

Almost always (except for the running lights) the up position is on. Middle position or down position is off. On you running lights, up is your running lights (all) and down is your anchor light. Middle is off.

Also just want to add, "be sure to switch your batteries to off whenever you leave the boat".

I trailer, so most times I do the same thing, but when I'm tied to a dock (for dinner or whatever) I switch everything off except for the bilge pump. I leave that in the auto position. Just in case...

There is no switch between my batteries and bilge pumps except the float...

yes no switch for my pumps also, just battery to pump. this way i can shut batter's off from rest of boat and pumps still work

I have a battery switch in my garage that I bought in 2004.....

My boat doesn't have a battery switch, I would have to install one. I just hope my battery will hold the charge when I try to charge it back. Marine batterys are not cheap lol

I think mine, and most switches I've seen are off in the middle, and up or down can be auto or on. One sure way to find out is try all three positions (gawd, that don't sound right). Flip the dash switch and then try the float switch and see if the bildge pump runs or not.
