New Here... First big boat

Hi everyone, I just picked up my new (to me) '86 v-20 steplift. She needs a little TLC but I think I can handle it. This forum is very informative, I cant wait to get into this thing. I come from the custom car scene so fiberglass and cleaning is no stranger. I just finished fully rehabbing a 1960 14' Elgin fishing boat. She's better than new now. Then I cam across this. My buddy sold her to me for $800. It has a OB Mercury BlackMax 150 on it and he said she wouldnt run. I pulled the carbs and plugs and gave a good cleaning to them, hooked up my portable 3 gal tank and hose and she fired right up. Ran for about an hour on the susquehanna before I brought her in. Just a test run. I get home to see that a roller from the trailer broke off and the washer gouged the hull about 3' long. Just through the bottom paint, no biggie. Today she'll get a scrubbin' and soon enough she'll have new gauges, seats, electronics, and lighting all over the place. Hope to learn alot from you guys.

Welcome 1Bad. I'm sure that you will find many people here that can help you with accurate answers to all your questions. One thing, as Lumberslinger has already pointed out, we love boat porn on this site. Anytime you do something or have a problem with something and need some help just remember that one picture really is worth a thousand words.
