Can I make it a 4 V-20 family?
 

Talked to a guy about borrowing his sliding hatch to make a mold for my boats and he said it was fine and if I wanted to give him a couple hundred dollars I could take the boat and trailer. I have not seen the boat up close to see exactly what shape its in but I heard the engine is out of it ( I/O I think). I wonder what the wife would think of four V-20's at the house.

well, if three is o.k. is one more going to make a difference ?? Go for it and open up your own v20 parts/surplus supply.....windshields, hatches, bow rails,gas tanks, rod boxes... ;)

I am located in Palacios, Texas. *I am quite a distance from where most of "yall" are located. *I have two 73 V-20's cuddy cabins, a 76 center console and the other one that I am looking to borrow the hatch from is a cuddy cabin. *I have no idea of the year model or the shape of the boat. *The windshield by the helm appears to be leaning in a little. *The board under the console is probably rotten or broke loose. *I started having work done on the cuddy cabin (redid the transom, part of the floor where the swivel seats go) when I bought the center console which has a soft transom. *I will probably get rid of one of the cuddy cabins. I would rather get rid of the whole boat and trailer so I won't have boat skeletons all over the pasture. * I can buy the boat cheaper than having a mold made and then having the hatch made. Well thats the arguement I gave my wife.

HEY AXES... I MIGTH BE INTRESTED IN ONE OF THOSE HATCHES (THE FRONT PART SPECIALLY) , TELL ME HOW YOUR COME OUT AN I MIGTH BUY ONE FROM YOU IF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT.

This boat is a 74 model. It only has the top hatch that slides back and forth. What year model boat is yours/

MINE IS A V-20, 1978. CUDDY CABIN. THEY NORMALLY HAVE A BIG HATCH THAT SLIDES FORWARD, WHEN CLOSED COMPLETEDLY, IT SUPPORTS THE CENTER PIECE OF THE WINDSHIELD AND HAVE ANOTHER THIN PIECE UNDERNEATH IT THAT SLIDES BACK TO THE DOOR. THAT PIECE BREAKS EASILY BUT IT'S NOT DIFFICULT TO BE MADE OUT OF STARBOARD OR CUT FROM A BIGGER FIBERGLASS PIECE.

IT'S THE BIG HATCH THE ONE I'M INTERESTED IN GETTING A SPARE.
