Hey Savannah boys, question about Herb River.

The bridge on Laroche Ave, what kind of clearance is available at the different tide stages?
Will this float under and when?

It ain't lookin good blue but I can't confirm it yet. Give me time and I can see.
Another problem is the depth at low tide beyond the bridge, also the width of usable water around the floating docks further up.

By the way, if you get bored to check elevations and such, the correct name is Solomon Bridge.
Listed elevation is 5ft.

Just asked Daddy what he thought the clearance was at high tide.
He told me I'd have to fold the top down and sit down too.
He said it was about 5'.

They accepted our final offer on the lot on Cinder Landing. I'm wondering about the possibility of keeping the V20 at the dock. Thanks for the info, guess I need to fill the cooler with beer and ham sandwiches and do some recon.

The lot is right off norwood. The street is Cinder Landing and it has a dock(have to rebuild and find a floating part). It is the next to last dock on the Herb tributary. All the way almost to Skidaway Road.

Thanks Benny!

So mid-tide maybe I can get through and back to my dock?????? I have seen some 20 foot boats on docks back there.

Congratulations on the lot purchase!
I know you can utilize the creek with your boat, just might have to pick and choose some of the tide stages.

Just got a PM back from John at Coastal Outdoors. He thinks there might be close to 10' clearance (best he could remember).
If I could just get my ducks in a row, I'd go over there at high tide and measure it.

Wow, that would be great if there was ten foot at hightide!

Well, John rode over there today and looked from the bank.
He said it looked like somewhere between 8'-10' clearance at high tide based on the watermarks.
