Who's fishing off New Jersey ?
 

I'm going Saturday - either Raritan or down from Belmar.

Any V guys fishing same general area ?

Got the boat all loaded up and sitting out back at work...heading out this afternoon around lunch time. Going to put in at Sayreville and work our way out to the hook if need be. Will give you a report tonight hopefully to tell you where we left them biting.

I'm currently leaning towards fishing from Raritan area tomorrow - early am till whenever.

Kind of weird day. Ran all the way out the bay seeing tons of birds but none working. Ran up to below th verrazano where one of theguys i had with me did well the night before. Got there for the change of tide but it wasnt moving at all. Nothin doin. Headed back into the bay and around old orchard saw some more birds hanging out pretty heavy and got on huge marks. Hit what we call the power hour and got four keepers one real nice at 36 inches 4 just short and then they just shut down. Did the same drift over and over with tons of marks and they just would not bite anymore.

All in all we came home with fish and the weather was great. Boat ran great and the bimini rocket launcher worked great on its first run

left barnegat inlet today around 6:30am went north and found a calm sea but no jigging bite. also not many boats so I continued north long ride but great sea conditions ended up around spring lake still no birds or fleet so then i thought should have gone to sandy hook.
only choice I had was to troll back to barnegat and hope for a pick . well we got lucky and managed four keepers for a long day and ride. friday the thirteenth
my advice for tomorrow would be to start at sandy hook.
