Transom is shot, tank cover soft, cabin iffy at best, but the stringers may be salvageable. why does this keep happening to me.:nut:

I may not take on this challenge, If another member is interested PM me I may pass, I may not I don't know.........

Cool boat!

I looked at one of those old Chris Crafts not too long ago. The transom had already been rebuilt, but the floors were soft, the cuddy had been stripped to bare glass and the stringers were so bad they had holes in them. Needless to say, I didn't bring it home with me.

that would be a great platform for a fisherman's cuddy., nice flat deck over cuddy with no cutout, ditch the windshield, add a console, a t top, & a bracket. nothing $15,000-$20,000 wouldn't cover.

i vote you go for it

I've always thought they looked better than any of the V copies. The stringers are the death blow. Chris Craft had a lot of glass issues in the late 70's early 80's. I have yet to see one that didn't need stringers. If your up for a full rebuild, go for it. Reel will probably come along with that picture of the ice blue one that's been redone just to make you think about it even more
