i been lookin real hard at this. is this as good a deal as i think it is? ne1 know how it will be on fuel?wudda y'all think? anybody clode by it?tx guys

Not to bring up bad things or accuse anyone of anything!!

But I would not ever buy another motor unless I could see it, run it, do a compression test!!!

Shipping is a majore pain in the [s]A[/s]ss!!

he has a reserve price?? what is it? I bet he wants $3000+

Ask the guy a question, ask about upgrades, compression numbers, when was the last water pump, does he have records of maintance like lower oil changes and such? Whats he looking for it as far as $$ will he end the auction eaely if you decide you want it?

If your close go look, I always have and always will from now on go look at something as important as this!!

That was a problem year. I'm not saying that's a bad motor. They had many problems around that time which is why everyone is mentioning upgrades.

Iv'e also heard of that era Ficht Ram motor having alot of issues.

Is that an OMC FICHT or a BRP FICHT?....if OMC, forget it.. ;) ...

tx guys. this is what i love about this forum. on my own i am an idiot but, collectively i am a real smart fellar. if skoolz would've chimed in i would be a genious now! or an idiot again (confused). tx guys. i asked about the upgrades, though i dont have a clue what they are. says he selling cause he got tired of buying oil so he got a 4 stroke. also says it only has 500 hours. dude gets tired of stuff quick! and spent a lot of money to repower a boat that he apparently hardly uses. sounds fishy to me.too far for me to go check out, and she's up to $3500 this mornin. think i'll leave this one be. tx guy's

RUN fast if it were not a Ficht by OMC it would be ok *or older looper you'd be good to go.
