A dumb V question...
Since it's been nearly 20 years since I ran and my memory ain't as good as it used to be, I've got a stupid question for you guys.
Can you comfortably drive standing up or is it seated operation only? |
I like to drive standing up .. Have seriously thought about putting in a leaning post instead of a seat. I like the extra view that I get that way.
Gotta sit down when in heavy chop though for safety's sake. I think that as long as you're comfortable with it either way is fine. Just my $.02 :head: |
Very comfortable standing up as far as I am concerned....if you have a pedestal seat make sure it slides back far enough though because it can bang the bejeezus out of the back of your knees if its too close.
|
Weather permitting, I'm usually standing...
|
See, I'm the opposite. Usually sitting till it's bad then I'll stand up.
|
I'd love to have a bolster seat, that way I could sit or stand comfortably. There was a discussion awhile ago about how, when standing, the chair beats up the back of your legs and I have that problem. I also sit while smooth sailing but stand during rough handling.

standing
i only sit when i'm in the 5 mph zone after that its standing all the way. and Awthacker, very nice job on the boat
|
in my V21, yup, I stand a lot till I realize I'm standing, and have a nice helm seat and then I sit down !
Have traveled many miles sitting and driving - enjoying the comfort of the V vs my previous center console. You can set up your helm seat to be higher if desired too. |
I only sit through the no wake zone. I like to spin the helm seat around backwards and prop my feet on the cooler and look aft when anchored up though, so no leaning post for me.
|
I like to stack 3 throw cushions in my seat so I am kinda stand-sitting.
