Well my little fishing buddy turns the big 5 today. We have had this semi warm weather and she is already talking about our spring catfishing on the pontoon boat. here are some pictures of her growing up.She was born and raised fishing on the pontoon boat for catfish and perch. The horse pics are of the buy back ponies from the Chincoteague pony swim. I dont really want her getting any older!!!!! is the a pill i can give her to keep her from gettin bigger and becoming a mean ole' teenager???:sun:

Happy Birthday to her!!!
Your story sounds like a copy of my daughter.she and I use to Fish together, she'd go out and help me scout deer, take hikes and everything else that involved the outdoors. They do grow up so ver fast though so all you can do as a Dad is make sure to spend as much time doing the things that she enjoys, take ALOT of pics and video and enjoy the time. My daughter is now in her Sr. year of college, very serious with a good young man and will probably settle down a couple of hours away from home.I miss her every day but I'm happy knowing that she is happy and enjoying life. And she still fishes with me occasionally! |
congrats on the big 05. like jeffmo said, they grow up so fast
jeffmo, "goof young man", typo, freudian slip possibly. |
Looks like a sweet little gurl you got there Matt....I know you're a proud dad. I know I'm proud of my two *little* gurls...12 & 14 ALREADY. Wish I'd know about that pill....

Kracker...yer right about how much fun they are that age...and the teen years CAN be trying...but assuming all survive that, wait till she young adult...mine are 20 & 22 now and being a part of their lives is great!!...
My oldest got her 1st Sailfish and youngest wowed the capt & mate tossing a perfect circle castnet offshore this past Memorial day(their jaws really dropped)... Hang in there, Dad...you are raising her just right w/the boat, dog, ponie and all...she'll be alright...and so will you... |
I can't beleive my little girl is turning 40 tomorrow.I still remember all the great times I had when she was 5.Now I'm makeing memories with her little girl

She knows about all you guys on here because i read her yalls comments. She is all about this boat build and sees me on the computer all the time on this forum so I read her the comments now on my build thread. She is a hoot!! my parents raised me in the 4-H club and i surfed, hunted and fished all my life and she enjoys the same things. she sees the fish, ducks and deer go from the field to the pan. Something about being raised in a enviroment like that that makes you a better person!!! I will tell her the fellas on the V forum say happy birthday. Thanks guys!!!!
