floor layup schedule HELP

Can anyone give some advice on sole(floor) layup schedule? I have been told tape edges and the put one layer of 1708 ? Is this strong enough? Just sounds "thin" to me. All advice is welcome I want her strong yet light.

I think that will be enough. Consider what Wellcraft had on top of the deck, like .030" of Chopped Strand Matt. How thick was the glass where you cut the old floor out? My thinking, the floor is firmly glued in place atop the stringers so the most critical area is the joint around the perimeter of the new floor and any joints in the field.

Yea she's glued down good! So one layer of 1708 with tape on all joints and bonds. I'm gonna be returning this glass up the liner about 4 to 6 inches also.

Kracker:

I would glass the underside as well. Doesnt' need to be 1708, but it will add strength and protection against any mositure that may build over time

I put one layer of 1.5 CSM on the bildge side of the sole and when I glued the ply down I caulked thickened resin on all edges so when I put the ply down it gushed out of the but joints and edges

each layer of 1708 or 1808(0/90) is about 1/16 inch finished/rolled out....i would at least replace the same original thickness....depending on the core, probably a layer of each...45/45 and 0/90
