84 20' Fisherman Center Console Fuel Tank Replacement ?
 

i decided to start a new thread since most of the fuel tank replacements that i have seen are for the cuddy or some other version of wellcraft. mine is a 1984 20' Fisherman Center Console that needs to have the fuel tank replaced.

I have pulled the fuel tank and measured the tank. The 1st quote for an aluminum replacement was close to $700 without shipping. that price is no good so i looked into the Moeller plastic 55 gallon tank ($350). Thats closer to what i am wiiling to spend but if you have done this rebuild on a 20 foot CC , pls let me know how you proceeded. I am just starting to check the measurements on the moeller fuel tank 032555.

i 'm looking for a after market tank close in capacity (60 gallons) to what i have . that seems to be the cheapest way to go vs. having a new one built.
