Thanks for posting that, Willy...a whole new angle on the day. I for one had never considered...I almost welled up when the call went out and saw the shots of all the boats coming...

I agree. It was titled "Americans", but I am sure people like yourself all over the world would do the same, esp the "everyday man" as you say it.

There was a recent video that was seen by many recently about a group of bystanders that lifted up a BMW car on fire to free a motorcyclist who was pinned under it. There was even a female in the group that was assisting while a guy in a suit (assumed to be the driver), just stood by and watched.

Wow! That really gives a guy a feel good story for the day that changed everything. I have had the pleasure of working with some of the ironworkers that helped in the rescue. They are changed men forever but in a better way as they to seen the greatness in man when called on.
