boat interior done.....finally!
2 Attachment(s)
well,i finally finished the interior.although it took most of the summer the boat's ready for my 2 week,re-charge my humor, forget the job, drink some beer, eat some great food, fishing trip on Lake Erie.
to start with i removed the old back-to-back lounge seat and ordered a new on from Veada.I also ordered some extra matching material from the so the girl at the canvas shop could make me some matching captains chair pads.also re-did the arm rests in the same light blue material. after that i removed the rod boxes and repaired them w/ fiberglass fabric and resin.even re-did the lip on both of them so they would be strong when mounting them back up.both got a new coat of white paint and the rod holders were sanded and each got a few coats of helmsman spar finish. i found a guy on craigslist who had some teakwood for sale and made all new trim for the rod boxes, the gunnel steps and the backsplash step. after that i sanded down the floor and put a new coat of Interdeck Squall blue paint. all in all i'm pretty happy with how it turned out and hopefully next year i can do the hull and trailer. sorry for the quality of the pics but they were taken w/ my cell phone.betters ones will hopefully be coming soon. |
Very nice!

Real nice job you did there. Excellent idea asking for extra material from the seat manufacturer. Wouldnt have thought of that.
