38 hours no power!!
about time its back on!!! i have been going nuts with just a am/fm little battery radio and candles, but the candles sure make the mrs look better!:hide:

yes, we just got power back overnight. It's nice to have it back!

Im going on 72 hours.....it will be at least a week before I get power back. I was 1 week without during Isabel, Irene is treating me the same. Living right on the coast has its draw backs. Im living out of my motorhome-- it has everything the house does, AND the generator can power the AC:clap:-- home generator cant

the longest we have had to go is 4-5 days. it is amazing how dark it is at night without the ambient light. and i always flip on the light switch when i go in a room, even when i know the power is off.

i worked in the dry tortugas in the early 80's for a contractor rebuilding the living quarters for the rangers. we had to be totally self contained. we ran a work camp for 5 -8 workers w washing mach, fridge, freezer, water de-sal plant, lights, etc. on one honda 6000 water cooled gen. it performed flawlessly. ran 24-7 for about 10 months.
