St. Johns River -Speedboat Rally
Recooperating from a great weekend of boating on the St. Johns River. Lake Monroe to Lake Harney. Lots of beautiful rigs and plenty of speed.
A few compliments on the V. We were dubbed the "chase boat" for a retired Seabold Champ boat. That was Parker Rabe's (the owner of #202) nice way of telling me I had the slowest boat there. I have a picture or two on the wife's camera. If you wanna see some boat porn of the event go to: http://www.screamandfly.com/showthre...pics-and-video Two videos up already. The first one is a running view from the 13' Beil Cat. Second is just boats, bikini's and jello shots. Soon to have a video of 202 stretching her legs. As a gear head and a boat lover, I was in heaven. If you look at the second video early on there is a beautiful Yellow/White STV tunnel. All carbon fiber/kevlar infused, beyond cool. There were so many 280 ROS Mercs I lost count. Near the end of the video there is a Blue and White Hydrostream with a 300X. It is a 1983 and all original san the motor. Just before that is a real fast Brown HydroStream that is also original. You can see my big ol arse toward the end of the video parked on the other side of a Hurricane deckboat. No respect... If only the V20 gatherings could pull in the same number of boats. I know, I know, money and schedules are a huge factor. In a perfect world. |
Great post Ridge! I wouldn't worry about the respect thing, different class of boat, apples and oranges.
Around here your orange rates a 10+ in my book. |
