houston we have a problem
 

got my stearing cyl this week. went on wed and installed steering cyl,installed a swim platform on port side that a friend gave me and i cleaned,charged the batteries and ran the motor for the first time this year!! took the v home and washed and cleaned for three hours(hot hot hot temp was 102) went thur am and filled up boat 130.00 now ready to put in water and shake down for this weakend as grand kids are coming. put the v in at ramp started first turn!!!!!went to put in reverse NO reverse then foward NO foward!! shift cable snaped at boat landing.loaded back up and headed for the boat shop3;30 fri afternoon. of cource no one has one so it will be next week before i get to go out!!! oh well maybe next weekend will be better!!! having power run to my dock this week so maybe all will be good next fri!!!

At least it happened at the ramp. If it had been me it would have been on a tuesday, after a holiday weekend, about 20 miles from civilization, about 8:30 in the evening, with a thunderstorm rolling up on me.
