Mass. boat reg. - Free vanity numbers I don't know if any of my fellow Massholes know or care about this but I was told that you could choose your own reggie numbers if you wanted to. I just sent my wife to do my renewal at the Eco Cops since we were registering a new to us skiff at the same time. My new numbers are: MS 1986 WC for my 1986 Wellcraft We got: MS 1986 BB for the Baby Boat! Pointless but cool. Happy 4th... we will be on the boat for 3 days in Boston winding up with the fireworks at the esplanade on the 4th. Go blow some **** up to celebrate our heritage! |

Boat registration, $60 for 2 years times two boats = $60/year Cha-Ching $60 Trailer registration. #1 @ $20 per 1000 lbs. Rated at 6600 lbs. rounded up tpo 7000 = $140 #2 @ $20 per 1000 lbs. Rated at <3000 but we'll tag ya for the $40 minimum. Good for 1 year, expires in November no matter when you get it. Cha-Ching $240 Total Registration for the truck to pull it. $90 every two years but I pay for te "United We Stand" plate and $40 goes to cops and FF's so $25 per year. Cha-Ching $265 Annual Excise tax: Boat #1 = $53 Boat #2 = ? Truck = $160 Cha-Ching = $478 Inspection on the truck @ $29/year Cha-Ching = $507 Gas tax that I pay on fuel for my boat that I shouldn't need to pay but is virtuall impossible to recover: Average 350 gallons @ $0.21.Gal = $73.50 Cha-Ching = $580.50 I probably dump > $150 in ramp fees every year. The cost of having fun keeps going up! Never mind what I pay every year for my snowmobile/trailer registrations and tax, fishing licenses, and over $800 in tolls for a road that I've paid for at least three times over since it was built back before man had landed on the moon or we had microwave ovens, I pay an additional 3% "temporary" surcharge on my income tax that was instituted in 1989 (the innerweb didn't even exist then). Sheesh! This is all just in fun so don't take it too seriously Mr. Drag. I'm just venting and spewing during one of the first vacation days I've had in a few years. P.S. I think MJ might be on the State payroll so don't let him see this, Okay? |
