I am actually assembling this as a "FPV"...first person view...IE, has onboard gyro controled camera, 5.8ghz 600mw video/sound. I hope I can get some range out of it. Its for hopefully my dad, who could never actually fly one of these, so I am equiping it with a 3 axis flight control system. Basically flys the chopper, you just kinda tell it where you want it to go. *should* make it a breeze to fly, if you can just grasp cyclic/throttle control, and dont throttle down, and go negative collective and slam it to the ground. He should be able to sit in the living room, and watch/fly from his HD 52" flat screen. My parents have a little bit of property, and this should give him a fun way to look at it....AND, make his brain work, hes getting a little older now, and nothing like brain work outs to ward off the unwanted dementia and sorts. |

I would need the flies by itself feature for sure......my son and hav bought a couple of el cheapo larger helicopters and I crash everyone before he even gets a chance to try. That would be cool as hell though sitting on your couch flying around your property. |

And you assemble it from a kit?... sounds pretty cool...hey you could use it to round up chicks!!...put a 2-way radio on it fly it over to one and...How YOU doin"???......:sly: That does sound like a great gift for your dad....hope he can fly it better than Rob's kids' dad... |

Yes its built from a kit. This one is carbonfiber and metal. Never flew one with flight stabalizition in it, so this should be pretty cool. I have been building radio controlled airplanes/helicopters and cars for about 30 years now. |
