Soft decks galore !!
Every V I've looked at features a nice spongy spot at least somewhere on the deck.
I don't remember the option name, but I'll call it the " easy on your feet flooring "..... |

Must be lots of wood used in these boats -right up to the last one in 1996
|
Ok, who's got a truly solid V for sale ?
cricket sound. |
I have one with a solid transom AND no soft spots in the floor......but I think I'll keep it.
|
All decks in the 95 V21 were (are) solid w/no movement in the transom...and it had been sitting out on a boat lot for 2 years...you'll find one...gotta keep the faith...
RB...I KNEW I shoulda bought that boat when I 1st saw it sittin on that corner lot at OIB...you DID get a good one!!... |
I did get a good one REEL.......my wife keeps wanting me to have the V painted up all nice and shiney, but then I'd have to worry about keeping it all nice and shiney.
|
It's kind of funny - all these " excellent, mint, great condition " boats.......with soft floors, worn out stuff, lousy maintainance etc....
Like the old swamp land in florida - for sale but only can show it at 5pm.......because it's low tide then !!! Ha ha |

Standing at the winch and watching my youngest daughter drive the old '74 onto the trailer at OIB ramp in a serious cross current reminded me why I really don't want a PERFECT boat...good, solid, acceptable cosmetically, well outfitted and reliable motor/fuel & electrical systems...those are my priorities... |
I hear that........ except for the little issue I have about people who ADVERTISE boats as excellent etc but aren't even close in reality. Get it ?
Never mind. Bring on the sinking tubs. |
