BGA's Maiden Voyage
Granted, not a V20, but thought I'd share the pics anyway... :-)
Took the Hydra out for the FIRST TIME since I bought it a couple years ago! Since then, I've replaced the motor and rigging, installed T-top, changed out the gauges, fixed some wiring issues, installed VHF radio, stereo and speakers, as well as the antennas for both. I still have some bugs to work out with the electrical system. I've installed new batteries (Deka per Spare's recommendation), but I'm not convinced all is correct as to what is running off of what battery, etc. Still need to move one of the batteries to the other side of the transom... Anyway, took her out yesterday and she did great! She jumps on plane very quickly. I got her to 5k rpms and it felt good; sounded good too! She cut right through the chop and wakes very nicely. What a smooth ride. I didn't get any shots on plane, but here are a few pics: http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...t/P1010644.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...t/P1010685.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...t/P1010686.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...t/P1010687.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...t/P1010657.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...t/P1010677.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...t/P1010678.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...t/P1010680.jpg |
The curved legs on the T-Top and the antennas laid back REELY makes for some nice lines!!...and what a layout!!..Hydra Sports got it RIGHT on that model!!...and I bet the 200 DO make 'er jump pretty good!!...
Good solid fishin' machine, Steve!!...gotta be a great feelin' to push that throttle forward after two well done years!!... |
Very nice BGA, I have the Evinrude version of that same 200 on my 97 Vector 2250. Love it.
They are good strong boats, did not know they made the Vector series on the ones older than mine. Learn something new every day. Enjoy! |
good belated birthday present, enjoy!

In Him, with Him, and by Him, all things are possible... That is a sweet looking ride... gotta totally agree with Reel... those swept back uprights on the "T" top really set off the lines of the boat. Enjoy the fruits of your labors....:clap::clap:

Thanks for all the kind words guys!
Oz: Indeed, feels really good. I've taken wayyyyy toooo long to get her to this point. You all have been a great boost of inspiration to git r dun. Phat: Thanks buddy! Per the wife, I think this is what we might call a birthday month. LOL. Spent way too much money on the boat this year and this month in particular. ;-) Willy: I didn't realize they made the Vector Series that early either, but I'm pretty sure it really is a Vector (and not just because of the stickers... LOL). However, I thought that series came standard with trim tabs, which it doesn't have. That's on the wishlist along with a GPS unit... Destroyer: Amen! :-) |
Looks great Steve!
