one thing i have heard is that Bertram the older ones have fiberglass gas tanks and they are pretty hard to get to some of them to change!!

Yep, the 25 has an integral fiberglass tank in it that requires fiberglass work once it is removed since it is actually the bulkheads for those areas. Also the 25 uses wood free stringers tabbed in, so they require some enginnering once you change things. I believe the 26 had an aluminum fuel tank in it with cored bulkheads.

The 25 looks better, but I want a 26(performs better). Ferm, if youre interested, Cummins Mercruiser has thier two 26 Bertrams up for sale here in town. One has a pair of 135 hp Izusu diesels/Alpha 1's, the other a pair of 165hp VM diesels/Bravo III. If you happen to rob a bank anytime soon, let me know and I'll tell them to hold one for you
