I tend to like the old MOPARs. Over the years I have had a '68 Dodge Dart GT, and a '66 Charger. I wish I still had them. Now though I like older water cooled VW's, earlt 80's Golf,Jetta. I have an '87 Scirocco 16v. Still gets 30mpg and will spank a lot of new cars out there when the light turns green.

I had a '69 Plymouth Road Runner 440, six pack, with 4 speed Hurst. It was dark green and so were my friends with envy because I had the fastest car in town. My old man hated that car and swore I was going to kill myself with it. He was almost right. I sold it when I went in the Army.
A little while after I got out of military life, I bought a '67 Chevelle SS and totally restored that. It had the original 396 big block with 4 speed. Then family life set it's priorities in and the Chevelle got sold.

thats funny 'cause my Charger was dark green. It also had a 440 but with an auto tranny. I always wanted a muscle car with a manual trans. The closest I can get is my Hemi Ram which has a 6sp tranny.

i recently sold my '72 vega. 10 point cage. wheeltubs. backhalf. 434 small block. powerglide tranny. dana 60 rear with 4:56's. weighed 2,175 with me in it. ran a best time of 9.08 at 160 through mufflers on dot tires.
scarier than sh!t going that fast in a 95 inch wheelbase car.

aussie, that was a street car. just a bit faster than most. close that differential and get another 1/2 second out of that old ford.

my 1st car was bought in 1977 after i graduated from H.S. and managed to save up some money(far easier back then than today!!!).it was a 1968 camaro rs.copper colored body w/ a black vinyl top,all white interior, cragers all around.it had a 327 w/auto for power.the only thing it needed done when i bought it was the hide-away headlights fixed.i paid $800 for it.8 months after i had it a friend rear-ended it while it was sitting in front of my parents house and totaled it.i thought about beating him over it but self control got the better of me.i hate to look them up on e-bay because of their value now! here is a pic of exactly what it looked like ecpect for this ones ss emblem on the grill.
