85 150 Johnson Remote Control part needed
 

I need the following part for my remote control to my 85 Johnson 150hp. Its part #23 in the diagram below called a SHIFT & THROTTLE PLATE ASSY.
Thats why my motor would not shift into reverse as i mentioed before in a previous post. One of the teeth is broken and is jamming. The diagram to the right has the part circled in red fyi.

Down in your neck of the woods, I wouldn't think it'd be too hard to find a good used throttle assembly and just replace the whole thing...probably about the same price...:head:

just buy a good used control box.

I have decided to make a form and use epoxy/resin to make another tooth on my gear. It shouldn't be that hard to do. Hopefully it holds good.
