Goreous Bruce. Nice 18. I see you are in Conway. Do you ever fish out of Murrells Inlet? I live in NC but frequent MI throughout the year. I love it down there.

I moved here a year ago december and not fished here at all sadly.. Up until last month the boat was stored at my parent's house in Atlantic Beach, NC, which is much nicer water for a boat like this. I'm hoping to learn the lay of the land down here come spring time

The Wacamaw river is some great black water to ride in, its a long way to get to salt water though, either up to Little River, or down to Georgetown to get out there, great places to ride, In the summertime, the ditch gets crowded with all the Myrtle Beach crowd, good thing is, you can do Myrtle by water if you want to. I've never fished it, but it looks like great places for largemouth bass. If you want to fish salt, go to Murrels inlet. For those of ya'll that don't know, Murrels Inlet is a dead end Inlet, it down't go anywhere. Don't tell anyone, but its probably the best flounder fishing place on the east coast. Check out Charlestonfishing.com don't believe half the BS on there, but there is a Grand Strand/Murrels Inlet topic on there. BTW, if you are around the Inlet, watch out for the parasail boats, it's a wonder they haven't killed soemone yet.

When we first moved here, in the spring i picked up a 190 CCF wellcraft to play with and flip.. I ran the blackwater alot, never did any fishing, but had fun. We have a larger boat in little river, that doesn't go anywhere very much simply because it burns 55/gal an hour wide open lol.. But when i first came down in this general area (NC/SC state line) I ran the big boat in the ditch alot.. I'm ready to learn the boating places down here, and now that i have my pride and joy here, it should be a great adventure.

Go ahead and tell anybody you want....I can count on one hand how many flounder I've caught there in the last 5 years. I've just about given up on the flatties.....maybe that is why I haven't caught many lately. Don't get me wrong, I've had some great years in the past. 2004 was off the chain, hands down the best flattie fishing I've ever done in my entire life. Me and dad caught 60 in 2 hrs, kept like 15 and left them biting. It mid-July and there was a low dissolved oxygen situation that forced the flatties into the inelt in huge numbers.
