Need close-up pic of carb linkage on 3.7 liter 3.7 liter mercruiser w/ 2 barrel carb Coming in to Rudee Inlet yesterday [after being 12 miles out at the light tower] the boat started kicking and shutting down, then revving to high RPM's and shutting down. After letting the wind and current get us to a slip at a marina among some major sportfishers, we discovered that a pivot screw in the throttle linkage had loosened and fallen out. Fortunately, it was wedged in the carb base. Now I need a picture of the linkage close up so I can tell how the cam that pivots around the screw goes back in. Can anyone point me in the right direction ? |

Ahoy Captain, I will be able to help you out, just not sure when. I know I took a picture of this before I pulled the engine, I may have deleted it. But I could take another. I'll try to get to it this weekend unless someone else beats me to it. rkc |
