Any old but good outboards?
I am still trying to figure a way to get a V-20. One of my thoughts is to sell my boat but I want to keep my motor. I think my boat would sell better with a motor on it, so who has a decent 110-150 ob out there for cheep?

Re: Any old but good outboards?
randleman...you say you think your boat will sell better w/ motor, but have you tested that?...I saw an ad recently "testing'' the sellabiliy of the motors ... the response he got prompted him to go ahead and swap up to what he really wanted... ;) ...
...put the word in the ''grapevine" and local fishin' clubs (and their sites/forums), even put it in boat-trader w/out motor ...ya never know... ;) ... |
Re: Any old but good outboards?
Yeah, I know, I'm just thinking out loud. *Plus I seem to end up with better ideas when I put them on this board.
I'm always looking for boats without a motor when I'm searching. |
Re: Any old but good outboards?

Re: Any old but good outboards?
Why not look for a V-20 with older power and swap motors and sell your old boat with the motor that came with the V-20.

Re: Any old but good outboards?
Have thought about that as well. Just so many options, so little money.

Re: Any old but good outboards?
I've got a 1.6L sea-drive that I'll set you up with, just had the powerhead rebuilt.

Re: Any old but good outboards?
I appreciate that, but I don't think it will work on the 20" transom.

Re: Any old but good outboards?
Randleman, you need to buy my 79 V20 with 20" transom minus the 150 johnson. Then I need to buy Willy's boat and install my 150 with an extension kit and sell his 115 separately ;D
