how can i use a 25" motor on a 20" transom
Ok with all your help now I know I have a boat with a 20" transom Well it is just shy of 21" but. In looking for a used motor I am finding many more 25" shaft motors than 20" ones So what is the cheapest and or best way to use a 25" on my 20" boat...can I just raise it to the highest holes on the motor or will that still be to deep? Thanks Andy

You will need a Jackplate with that said if money is a huge factor you will need to go with a manual. I tested this model found on ebay very economical in my opinion comparing to hydraulics...

There you go! What they said!
Several different types out there with different applications. Just make sure the one you choose is rated for the horse motor you got or better. |
thanks for the quick replys one other question
OK so if i go with jack plate on my 20v the steering cable would have a kink in it unless i cut a new hole which I rather not do any ideas how you guys handled it Thanks
