FLOUNDER POUNDING
 

Ok, I took pops fishing off Sandy point and we set out for a day of flounder and good talk. Well a good bit of chop was up and made for rough seas and befor ya knew it, our bait was over board and I had to crap. I crapped in an old coffee can and being a good McGuyver, I took a small bit, balled it up, baited the hook and tossed it in. Before I could put my rod in it's holder, I got a rod bending strike and pulled in a good 7 lbs flounder.

Not to be out done, pops grabbed a rod and baited with the same crap. He too caught a monster fish. We spent the next 4 hours and caught our limit with not a fish under 5 pounds.

The next morning we headed out making sure to redo everything we did the day before to ensure a good trip. I even ate the same dinner so our bait would be the same. Needless to say, we caught nothing, not even a short strike.

After 12 hours, we called it quits and headed in. As we passed under the bay bridge, my ole man turned to me and said
" let this be a life leason for ya, fish don't fall for the same crap everyday"
