changing motors

will a longer shaft motor work on my V or will i need to buy a jack plate
will it make it ride different

How long of shaft you looking at??

I have a 25" shaft and it works great--no jack plate.

V20 comes in a 20 and a 25 inch size, wellcraft changed them from year to year for some reason?
Soif you have a 20" you will need to get a jack plate to use a 25.
