Anybody here get Boattest.com email?
I recevie this on a regular basis but I usually just delete it as it is mostly just advertising disguised as boat reviews for boats that I'd never own but an article about the Chesapeake caught my eye until I started reading it:
"Let’s see, the Environmental Protection Agency is supposed to protect the environment, but for eight years it was letting Chesapeake Bay turn into a septic tank? Tea Baggers might think that laissez-faire non-management is a good thing, but we can’t find in the Constitution where it says that everyone has a right to ruin the water resources of all of the people in order to make one’s front lawn greener, or to grow more crops. The EPA bastards were sued and last week they capitulated. Now the EPA will start working to protect the Chesapeake Bay. We think that this was an important decision for every community in the U.S. If you live in an area that has a water resource that is dying, sue the bastards." I hope you don't need to suscribe first but if you want to view the whole article you can try this link: http://www.boattest.com/resources/vi...px?newsid=4145 I don't know why they had to inject thier political views in such a venomous manner but I will be complaining to all of their advertisers. |
I'm happy to see all the negative comments that have been posted as a result of that article. If ever I was thinking of going to that site, it's been permanently removed from my mind. They're just another hack socialist tool of the present regime. None of their advertisers will ever get any of my money... and I'll make sure they know it and why.

I wonder if that was included accidentally....the font is different than the rest of the article and the typo in the first line (no space between words) seems weird.....wonder if somebody cut and pasted something into it that was not supposed to be there....definitely not at all professional to include that kind of crap...I get those same emails from boattest and sometimes click around on them and sometimes just delete them but it always seemed to be a professional publication.
edit: just noticed that somebody fixed the typo in the opening line....if they took the time to fix it and not delete the rest I guess it must have been put there knowingly.....hmmm |

RWilson,
I see what you mean but then I started checking more closely and Googling some of the content. It turns out that most of the article is just a series of cut-n-pasted press releases. The only content that IS written by someone at BoatTest is that really politically biased first paragraph. |
Apology
Hello to everyone who uses this forum.
The entire team at BoatTEST.com would like to apologize to all of you for our recent article. It was ill conceived and not part of our core, which is testing new boats and engines. We assure you that going forward you will find NO politics in our newsletter, just the best third party content on new boats and engines. Christopher Hughes COO |

Tell you what you can make it up to us by saying some nice things about our V-20's in one of your publications...maybe like a nostalgia piece!:fam::fam: |
