What do you guys think for my 92 V20
http://www.thehulltruth.com/fishing-...iler-sale.html
Decent sounding fellow, talked on the phone twice now. I think with our weight ratings of the hull and motor plus the weight of the trailer I make it with about ten percent to spare. Am I seeing that right? Any input would be appreciated |
nice trailer willy, My new trailer was 4600 lbs and dual axel and I paid 3200 brand new ....mines a bunk tho.
Tube trailer=rotted trailer for us in the south Willy. Theres a bunch on Craigslist up here in the panhandle that are better and less of a drive to get too man. Nice wagon for those yank,Uh Northern folk but our acid for water down here I personally don't think it will last. Aluminum or open channel is what ya wanna be lookin for.
Chris you saying the the weight GVWR is good for us, you are using a lighter trailer no problem?
if those type of trailers hold up in the north , its a ok deal. looks like a lot of maintenance to me. personally, i'd hold out for an aluminum bunk with torsion axels,
It's got rust on it by the license plate already. For an "almost new" trailer that's kinda strange. But truthfully it looks really sharp. Sweet looking hauler. Given that for safety reasons they always rate those things way under what they can actually carry I wouldn't let the weight worry you. :head:
My bad, thought ya lived in the southland man. Looks like a good deal and will hold the boat nicely.
Looks like a pretty good trailer and the weight issue is no problem...it'll do that no sweat...
What kind of brakes?...if they are Tie-Downs...RUN!!...I ain't kiddin... |
All right I will check on brakes Oz, is that a brand name of disk brakes?
Also the rust is not from the trailer but from a old boat that was stored on it and leaked a rust onto it. |
Yes. Tie-Down is a brand of brake and brake parts. I have a set on my trailer. 3 years old and still working fine... but I've heard a lot of horror stories from other people about rust and things falling apart. Maybe mine are still ok cause I flush them after each trip?
