price on a 1996 175 ocean runner?

I'm looking at a 1996 175 ocean runner. Guy says he'll take 1600 for it. Aprox. 5oo hours, offshore used and well maintained. What do you guys think about the price and this motor?

Also, when was the first year of fuel injecteds? Staying away from them.

97-99 150/175 FICHTS should be avoided like the plague. 00 seen ALOT of improvements in them though, and by late 02 they were pretty good engines. $1600 doesn't sound like a bad price if all checks out on the 96 175.

I like the sound of it, but as w/any pre-owner motor, i'd wanna see/hear it run in water if possible, check foot oil and compression...don't fall in love w/it til AFTER you buy it...

Well now I've found one closer that's 200 more. It had a new powrr head 200hrs ago and its a 150.
