New Guy with a 77 V20 Steplift

Just thought i would introduce myself because i have been searching this forum for a few weeks now so....

I am current working on my grandfathers 77 V20 Steplift Cuddy, it has a 225HP 350 small block Chevy/Volvo I/O with just over 200 hours on it. He used it all of twice a year and garaged it it's entire life, but ending up passing away in the mid 90's. Since then it had only been out once and that was in 99. So now that i am out of school and back from living in California, I have no reason not get it back in the water.

It looks like there is a lot of good info here and i look forward to asking my fair share of questions.

Nope its never seen salt water just some of the small lakes around here and Powell. It's a little over kill for some of the lakes around here but it throws one hell of a wake.

Actually, breastman (ahem), the V with an I/O throws a really nice wake for watersports. At a slow speed, it creates a monster wake for wakeboarders. At a moderate speed, it puts out a good wake for general water skiing or tubing. At 35 mph plus, I think you will find it puts out a pretty sweet, tight wake for your more advanced slalom skiers. Have fun with it. It was designed as an open cockpit fishing boat, but it makes a heckuva family fun/ski boat as well!

And I thank you for that! dont worry im trying to get some picture, its just not in the best of shape, i think she would be a little camera shy.

As for wake i have only skied behind it, i was not into wakeboarding at the time but cant wait to test her out.
