Opinion need

Tonight at a local auction there is a 2002 NISSAN 8 HP 2-STROKE SERIES NS8B2 for auction anybody familiar with Nissan and would this make a good kicker for freshwater trolling?

Although I have always "liked" evenrudes\johnsons the best, I did have a 6hp butt ugly tohatsu (same as nissan) as a kicker. I didn't really take all that great care of it, fed it stale gas, only changed the impeller when it broke... The thing just kept on "kicken", never gave me the excuse to get a 'rude.

That's my experience with a little opinion thrown in....

I just got back I bought the motor, tank, control all the paper work from new. The mount where it slides on to the transom has only a few scratches and it looks like new and the auction guarantees to be in running order with no problems. I got for 325.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the pictures you can see it click on to open larger....

Great looking motor and great price. Man, there was some neat stuff in that auction.

Blu_Lunch 03-16-2010 12:25 PM

Took the motor outside and put it in a barrel, pumped it up with gas, choked it and started on the 2nd pull and it seems to run real smooth......................

Congrats!
