self bailing thu hull

Yesterday my son and I replaced the starboard side thu hull drain that I found to be leaking ( thank god its above the waterline ) most of the time anyway. To my suprise there wasnt hardly any sealant around it. and the hole thu the hull seamed bigger than the drain, and another thing that suprised me was the thickness of the hull only around a half inch.... I guess what I wanted to pass on is everybody should check theres, I would have never known it was leaking if I wasnt waxing the bilge.:you:

ps sorry no pics ....:fight:
