Help with floor

Hey, new here and new to a wellcraft..just got an older v-20 from a friends brother..half the deck is rotted and im replacing it..there is a well just befor you go in to the cabin..the well is removeable after taking out the screws..under the well is the boat bottom and there is a piece of 3/4 inch pvc along the floor ..)not sure where it goes) it is just sittung in the bottom of the boat..i intend to plywood over where that well was ( after removing it )( it has a plywood cover that was rotted also)..what could that pvc be..can i leave it as is?? Do i need to seal it up?? Is that well for storage or was it some kind of bait well fed by that pvc( in which case i dont want to leave open)...thank you for you help!!!
Matt

Hi Got any Pics,,,I belive the pvc pipe you talk of is the drain ,,,it carry excess water to the engine compartment... I am not sure but i did not think they made the v 20 with the step down before the cuddy cabin in 84 sounds more like the 74 model i am sure the guys here can point you in the right direction

is it a cuddy style? I know my 86 has the pvc drain that allows water that drains from the fish box and the cuddy drain to pass under the fuel tank as that compartment is sealed....I always thought the pvc pipe only ran under the fuel tank and all the other drains drained directly to the bottom of the boat....definitely post some pics.

my 75 had the step down and the pipe is to drain water from bow to transom and keep the gas tank dry.
75 had saddle bad gas tanks above deck and was not a issue
